About Operation Troop Trunk

In October 2007, WAIC launched "Operation Troop Trunk" by sending care packages to service men and women serving overseas. In 2009, with the help of our agents, industry partners and local businesses, we collected 1,276 lbs. of snacks, toiletries, and other fun items. We also collected several large boxes of Beanie Babies which were sent to school children in Iraq and Afghanistan by Operation Iraqi Children www.operationiraqichildren.org. The 2009 collection of Troop Trunks were sent to 21 different contacts in Iraq & Afghanistan who represented over 1100 soldiers. Many of those helped were friends and family of our employees and agents. Others were found on anysoldier.com. The soldiers were from Maryland, DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Texas and Kentucky.
